About Us

Our school is over 100 years old. The school has over 200 pupils divided into 2 stages KS1 and KS2.

KS1 is made up of YR,Y1 and Y2.

KS2 are Y3,Y4,Y5 and Y6 .

After school there are clubs for juniors to do including netball, football, chess, cross country, and recorders. Visit our Clubs Page here for more information on our clubs.

The school also has music lessons including violin, drum, and guitar. In the summer there is athletics and cricket.

The school garden is at the back of the school. It has two temporary classrooms in it, which are y4 and y5. There is a small pond area and woodland. There are a lot of wildlife living in and around our pond, including frogs, toads, etc.

This is our Year 6 classroom. It is in the older part of the school and is next to our brilliant library.

We have now completely remodelled our YR and Y1 classrooms. The new classrooms are bigger and better and our reception class has  an amazing new outside area. Here is our reception teacher Mrs McLaughlin.

This is our Year 3 Classroom. This classroom (plus our Year 2 classroom) were added to the original building in 2002. These are lovely sized classrooms which give us a bit more space than the older rooms.

We have an adventure playground which was built with the extension in 2002. The adventure playground has a wobbly bridge, a bench and a boat. The bark was replaced with a soft tarmac. After the extension we drew games on the play-ground like hopscotch, target-games and a jumping game.

The school also has a garden with a woodland and pond area. In the spring the frogs and toads come out from hibernation. You're only allowed in the pond area if you're with an adult. We only go in the garden when it's sunny and sometimes if it has snowed. When it does snow, we go across and build snowmen.

There are also two classrooms over the road, Year 5 and Year 4

Mr Bocock is head-teacher of Chalford Primary and he has been in his job for 15 years. He is very good at Maths and takes the top Maths pupils for morning classes.

He also arranges amazing school trips for all ages and not forgetting his after school football club. Mr Bocock is a brilliant headmaster so you can tell him if something's wrong.
